Batang San Mateo (BSM) is a
neighborhood and alumni association in San Mateo, Rizal conceived and organized by
Slazh, the Founder & Webmaster, way back in July 2007,
purposely to connect all San Mateans worldwide, to
initiate and promote a healthy and harmonious neighborhood by developing
the civic, spiritual, social and cultural awareness, to organize seminars
and technical training for livelihood projects and other socio-economic
activities for the benefit of the community.
About BSM website, this is very educational and informative and it features various
photos of all the barangays, schools, streets, government agencies and
various other landmarks in San Mateo. Chat Room, Forum Board, Classified
Ads, Map, YouTube Videos, Testimonies and many other links are available
in the site.
Online Registration is also included so that residents worldwide
can register and be counted as one of the proud San Mateoans.
So far, the impact on the website is overwhelming and many residents have
already registered online and they have already started communicating with
their old friends and classmates. Their testimonies have given us much
inspiration and strength to showcase more features in the coming days.
Much more, the
Honorable Mayor Jose Rafael E. Diaz have also showed his
support to our cause that he even granted me to take pictures of all the
departments in the municipal hall and to take videos and pictures during
their flag raising ceremony last May 2008.
Our website’s background song entitled Batang
San Mateo is also an original composition, arranged and sang by Mr. Joselito L. Lema, a proud Batang San Mateo member.
Finally, on September 3, 2008, the first set of
BSM Officials were appointed,
with Ms. Rizza B. Garillo, as President, to further
promote and pursue our vision and mission for the benefit of our community
particularly the needy ones, therefore, we look forward to your full
support and cooperation to make our vision successful.
